Liability Agreement
By signing this agreement, I/we release Silver Sage Renaissance Festival and its board members, the City of Joplin, MO, and all agents within, of any liability, claims, loss, theft, or injury incurred during the event. I further understand that attendance and participation with the Silver Sage Renaissance Festival is voluntary, and I/we do engage in all functions, activities, and interactions with full knowledge of real or implied risks and therefore release Silver Sage Renaissance Festival and its board members of all responsibility there within while participating in the Silver Sage Renaissance Festival. Attendance/ticket purchase indicates acceptance of all conditions. Agreement further authorizes release of photography to Silver Sage Renaissance Festival website(s) and social media use.
Laws of the Realm
Everyone is welcome at the Silver Sage Renaissance Festival. To keep everyone safe, we have event rules that we must all abide by:
Service Animals (Fun fact, we had a goat as a service animal come in.)

Only service animals trained to perform a specific function or task are permitted.

Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed.

Be prepared to present current vaccination records for your service animal.

(Exception: Well-mannered dragons may be negotiated.)

Owners are expected to clean up after their service animal.

Outside food and drinks are not permitted.

No outside alcohol is allowed on-site.
Public Safety and Compliance

We reserve the right to remove anyone who does not comply with public safety rules or event policies.
Harassment and Discrimination Policy

The Silver Sage Renaissance Festival maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination.

Harassment or discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, creed, marital status, veteran status, status regarding public assistance, sexual orientation, or any other protected category is strictly prohibited.

This policy applies to patrons, guests, supervisors, managers, officers, vendors, and volunteers.

Any person found to have engaged in harassment or discrimination will be asked to leave the Festival grounds immediately, and we will terminate the business relationship if the individual is a vendor or performer.

Unwanted sexual comments, touching, pinching, flirtations, propositions, innuendoes, or suggestions—including unnecessary and uninvited contact—will not be tolerated.
Weapons Policy

Firearms, including those with permits, are strictly banned from Festival premises.

Weapons are restricted on Festival grounds—themed weapons are allowed but must be peace-tied.

Replica weapons made of plastic, cardboard, foam, or wood are allowed if they do not have sharp edges and are used safely.

Bows are permitted; however, arrows are not.

Refund Policy

Vendor refunds will not be issued less than 60 days prior to the Festival unless the event is cancelled. Hardship requests will be considered on an individual basis.

Refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather unless a weather emergency is issued by the National Weather Service.
Weather Policy

The event is “rain or shine” and will only be cancelled or closed if weather conditions pose a safety risk. We do not refund patron tickets or vendor registration fees due to rain.
Emergency Policy

If you need medical attention, please immediately notify the nearest vendor, performer, or staff member, who will contact a healthcare team member.
